Gay Pride is intended to make the fundamental sexual freedoms visible. In Georgia, the social pressure is so great that organizing the event alone is a risky challenge. The country is groaning under the influence of the extreme right and the Orthodox Church. The free trade agreement with the European Union is the beginning of a turnaround, but attitudes are changing very slowly.
