Maquilapolis plot

"A City of Factories"

Portrait about (and by) workers in Tijuana's assembly plants. Maquiladoras are large factories of companies that control the economy in the US-Mexico border region. More than a million people work for these multinationals. Carmen works six nights a week at the Panasonic factory. After making television parts all night, she returns in the morning to a self-built shack in a neighborhood with no pavement, sewage, or electricity.
