Man Ooman plot

Anyone who has ever zapped through a music channel will know them: the video clips in which curvy ladies cuddle lasciviously against macho men. You ain't seen nothing yet. The clips are a bland decoction of the real thing. 'Man Ooman' paints a staggering picture of the extremely sexually aggressive, slightly absurd Jamaican dancehall dance style and by extension the subculture associated with it. In the country with the highest murder rate and extreme poverty, but also with the largest number of churches and a lively musical culture, the relationships between men and women – from a Western perspective – are hard to grasp.
