Maison Tropicale plot

The Maison Tropicale was a house in Brazzaville designed by Jean Prouvé that was soon dismantled by colonialists. They exhibited it worldwide as an art object. The documentary takes Ângela Ferreira's artistic project about the Maison Tropicale as a starting point to show the local stories. Filmmaker Manthia Diawara examines the complex relationship between modernism, colonialism and architecture through an unusual case study.
