Maestro Tabachnik plot
Michel Tabachnik is a composer and conductor with the Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO). Times are looking bright again for this previously internationally sought-after conductor. When key members of the Order of the Sun Temple collectively committed suicide, sympathizer Tabachnik was brought to trial for "participation in a criminal organization." He was acquitted in 2006. Carin Goeijers follows Tabachnik, who has now been cleared of all blame, while composing and has him talk about his life philosophies. We also see him working with his musicians and colleagues. Tabachnik's music plays in the background, which he himself calls abstract. Tabachnik's story is told with photos from successful times, interviews, recordings of rehearsals and image fragments of his scores. The film looks back on the drama and works towards the current, successful time.
