"Virtual is the New Reality"

A documentary that follows the first case of internet addiction the world has ever seen. Filmed over two years in Seoul, the film follows the story of a young couple in South Korea who was immersed in an online game and raised a fairytale child, while their real baby died of neglect. During the lawsuit that followed in 2010, the term "internet addiction" was used for the first time, because the young couple's lawyer defended a mental illness. “Love Child” is a disturbing story that interweaves images from the game, interviews and reconstructions in a world where the virtual is the new reality.
