Lost Girl plot
Rebecca is 19 years old. She was in closed youth care until she was 18. Now she falls between two stools: legally too old for youth care and subsequent assistance appears to be very difficult. She is slightly mentally handicapped and largely lives with her parents in Rotterdam. Documentary maker Margit Balogh followed her closely for more than two years. Her mentally retarded parents can also be seen in the film. Her sister and several rescuers are standing by for Rebecca. However, because of her age, the initiative remains with herself: Where does she want to live? What does she want to do with her life? Who reaches her?
