Los Árboles Mueren de Pie plot

In the Mexican town of Cherán, villagers disappear without a trace and sacred trees are cut down. Wood smugglers make their move and trample on the traditions of the local Purepecha people. The resistance crystallizes around a group of women who have decided to take matters into their own hands to prevent their village and culture from disappearing.
