Live from UB plot

“Live from UB” explores modern Mongolia through the music scene in Ulaanbaatar. The documentary provides an intriguing picture of a country that is rediscovering its own culture, history and identity. Various artists, from pop singers to throat-singing grunge musicians, take the floor to discuss the country's difficult development since 1990. Central is Mohanik, a rock band that is now working on its second album. The band members talk extensively about their childhood, dreams and experiences as musicians. Like Mongolia, they are still looking for their own sound.
