Life with Murder plot

When Leslie and Brian Jenkins arrive home on a cold night in January 1998, they are confronted with the unthinkable: they find their 18-year-old daughter Jennifer murdered in the basement. Their 20-year-old son Mason is the prime suspect and is sentenced to life in prison. The parents are faced with the heartbreaking choice: cut off contact with their son, or continue to see him as their child. This documentary follows the family for 10 years, from shortly after the murder to the final denouement of the case. Mason insists he is innocent, and his parents support him despite the overwhelming evidence. Did Mason actually kill his sister or was the perpetrator someone else?
