Letters to the President plot
President Ahmadinejad became popular when he took office in 2005 for his personal approach to the Iranian people. He held meetings and invited people to write letters. In 'Letters to the President' it becomes clear that this approach has foundered in bureaucracy and lack of money. Some letter writers have become skeptical due to the lack of answers and measures, others continue to hope and believe. Director Petr Lom follows the president on visits to the countryside, and interviews critical residents of progressive Tehran.
