Les Dames Blanches plot

The family of the young man Simeon left the Dominican Republic and ended up in Belgium. Unlike his mother, whose diploma and decades of experience as a midwife are not recognized here, Simeon can work in healthcare. Starting with an internship at the Ghent residential care center De Liberteyt. In her hybrid documentary, director Camille Ghekiere takes a look behind the walls of the home and records how Simeon gradually gains the trust of the residents. His awkward encounters evolve into warm, inspired friendships.
