Le Paradis plot
A meditation on life and death and an associative self-portrait in one: in 'Le paradis' Alain Cavalier strings together everyday observations, memories and a colorful collection of objects and stories from his personal inventory into a greeting for life. A film against forgetting. He examines his most immediate environment with an open mind: his garden, his house, the wealth of stories in his own head. He associates small events in and around the house with dreams, memories and thoughts. Using random trinkets, toys or the harvest from the garden, he stages personal versions of Biblical and classical stories.
