Las Lindas plot
Melisa Liebenthal and her friends formed a close group from an early age. Now that the filmmaker is an adult, she looks back with these girls on their childhood and teenage years together, and how they grew up to be grown women. To this end, she films them during convivial dinners and speaks to them individually, with photo albums at the ready. On the basis of this, Liebenthal and her friends reminisce. In the meantime, Liebenthal reflects on her uneasy relationship with the camera on the basis of her own childhood photos and home videos. Why is she so often mistaken for a lesbian, or even a man? Why does she seem to deviate from the norm - and what is that norm anyway? In this autobiographical reconstruction of her still young life, this twenty-something tries to unravel the essential questions of her life.
