La Singular Historia de Juan sin Nada plot

Construction worker Juan takes great pleasure in his work and he is proud of it too. That work earns him 250 Cuban pesos a month, just under $9. But he still gets food coupons that entitle him to 7 pounds of rice, a liter of cooking oil, 5 eggs, 11 ounces of beans, and a pound of chicken meat. And a whole loaf of bread every day. Juan wonders if he can live on this every month and how large the daily portions should be to make it to the end of that month. And what to do with that € 9? But Juan is optimistic and follows the economic news closely, analyzes food prices and philosophizes about the fight against corruption. Who knows, something might change.
