L'Uomo Che Non Cambiò la Storia plot

The person the documentary focuses on is a professor at an Italian university: Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli, an expert on Roman art and one of the founders of modern archaeology. That makes him a personality of which the fascist regime of the 1930s is proud, but the professor is a staunch anti-fascist. Following Hitler's famous trip to Italy in 1938, Ranuccio is invited as an interpreter and guide to show the Duce and the Führer around in museums and archaeological sites. By placing these two 'monsters' (for four days) within three feet of him, history offers him an incredible opportunity. He could stop their madness...
