In black and white, this documentary records the day-to-day running of a Russian mobile blood bank. A small, close-knit team packs a van every day with the attributes needed to work quickly and efficiently in the most remote corners of the countryside. Wherever the blood bank settles, the line of candidates is always long. The cashier who pays 850 rubles to each donor emphasizes that this is not a payment but a tool for a healthy life, for many the money is an important and sometimes even the only source of income.
