This documentary by filmmaker and former Wall Street Journal reporter Neil Barsky explores the career and legacy of Edward Irving “Ed” Koch, who served three consecutive terms as Mayor of New York City from 1978 to 1989. Through interviews and archival material, it offers not only a glimpse into his life and work but also showcases the turbulent events marking his tenure, such as the 1980 public transport strike, the then-emerging AIDS epidemic, groundbreaking housing renewal initiatives, and a corruption scandal.
