Kinshasa Makambo plot
In January 2015, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, looked forward to a constitutional amendment that would allow him to be elected president for a third time. Documenting the resulting demonstrations, this film follows three protagonists of the resistance. Ben, who lives in exile in New York, follows the advice of his exile compatriots and decides to join the struggle in Congo. Just released from prison, Jean Marie continues his public campaign for the freedom of his country and is persecuted by the secret service. Christian fights undisturbed in the streets of Kinshasa even after former Prime Minister Etienne Tshisekedi, in whom the opposition had pinned its hopes, dies.
