Kineserna Kommer plot

"Feel China, Enjoy Life"

"Feel China, Enjoy Life!" we read on the large billboards that offer a somewhat surreal sight in the Swedish winter cold. Kalmar is a town in southern Sweden that is struggling with unemployment and unemployment and that could use an economic boost. In 2006, the city council signed an agreement with the ambitious Chinese businessman Luo Jingxing, who wants to set up a trade center in Kalmar from which Chinese entrepreneurs will conquer the Swedish and perhaps the European market. Ronja Yu follows the events closely. While residents of Kalmar prepare for new neighbors with different habits and the Chinese construction workers are urged by their boss not to spit on the ground in Sweden, the real problems turn out to be of a very different nature.
