Kabal i Hjerter plot

Kåre Morten is a Norwegian man with Down syndrome. Kåre lives with his best friend Per, who also has Down syndrome but is a bit more articulate. They get along just fine. They are fanatic supporters of the local football club, are regularly pampered at the pedicure and often eat pizza. When Kåre gets engaged to his girlfriend Maybritt, there is a small hitch in the friendship cable. When Kåre forgets to wear his engagement ring one day, his relationship with Maybritt falls into crisis. Per, the friend he neglected for Maybritt, mediates a reconciliation between the two lovers.
