Jannes plot

Portrait of the world champion in drafts, Jannes van der Wal, who died in 1996 at the age of 39. As a child, the drafts talent was not taken seriously, so he wanted to prove himself. He decided to become a professional drafts player and made his dream come true when he became world champion at the age of 24 in San Paolo. A profession that no one can make a living from, but which Jannes gave a twist by appearing as a shy clownish figure in every television or radio program that paid for something. Archive footage from television shows, old photos and interviews with drafts friends and Jannes' brother paints a picture of a remarkable drafts genius who found it difficult to find his way in life.
