Inventaris van het Moederland plot

A film inspired by the work of the photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorskii (1863-1944), inventor of color photography in Russia. Following in the footsteps of photographer Prokudin-Gorskii, the film follows two routes, by boat and train, through the heart and through the north of Russia, evoking his inventorying view of the last years of the great Russian Tsar Empire and contrasting it with a contemporary cinematic view. A colorful ode in image, sound and music of Russia just before the Revolution and of Russia now.
