Inside the SS plot

Hitler created the SS in 1925 as a private army that would remain loyal to him until death. The young German volunteers who joined it dreamed of a place in the racial elite of the Third Reich. They were subjected to intense propaganda and put in charge of the regime's concentration camps. These zealous activists quickly became criminals targeting Communists, Jews, and all real and imagined enemies of Nazism.
