In Mijn Dromen Loop Ik plot

Kathinka, Marinus and Tony are all unable to walk. Dancer Kathinka fell, Marinus was in a car accident and talented football player Tony caught six bullets that were not intended for him. Ivanka Bakker and Jacco Groen followed the three physically disabled people for a long time, interviewing them and their loved ones in the hospital, rehabilitation center and at home. In the course of the documentary it becomes clear how each of them tries to accept or change the new situation, in stages of anger, hope, combativeness, bitterness and resignation. 'I think only one thing helps and that is to get into life, by simply doing simple banal things', Marinus realizes at a certain point. The openness of the three protagonists makes the film a penetrating and moving reflection on the resilience of the human spirit.
