Documentary about the crisis in the Dutch construction industry during the 1980s. After thirty years of intensive construction, a third of the construction workers have become unemployed. 'In de Bouw' shows four portraits; of a carpenter, an apprentice, a road worker and a marl worker. What does their future look like, now that the Netherlands is largely under roof?
