Ich Bin Doch Keine Mörderin - Der Fall Dennis plot
When asked about his own responsibility, Falk allows awkward silences, but when the role of youth care is mentioned, he suddenly breaks loose. His documentary dissects a family tragedy in Cottbus in East Germany. In a family of ten children, six-year-old Dennis died just before Christmas 2001 from prolonged abuse, neglect and malnutrition. Mother Angelika then hid the body in the freezer, where it was not discovered until June 2004. Father Falk says he believed all along that the baby was in a Berlin children's hospital. Pending a court ruling, the filmmakers conduct a series of penetrating interviews with the Bittner couple, interspersed with texts from judicial interrogations and medical reports.
