I Remember Me plot

In 1984 and 1985, people around Lake Tahoe caught the flu, but they didn't get better. More such cases are known in the medical literature: In 1934 in LA County Hospital, in '48-'49 in Iceland and in 1956 in Punta Gorda, Florida. The disease now has a name: chronic fatigue syndrome. The director of this documentary also had this disease and tells her story. She also speaks with other people who have the disease, with doctors and researchers, and whether progress is being made in the medical world. And: what is it like to have a disease that is still little understood? This question eventually leads her to a high school graduation ceremony in Punta Gorda, Florida.
