How to Fall Apart plot

Jelle and Sofie are two film makers with a shared past as a couple, who also each have their own trauma to deal with. When Sofie was six years old, her mother committed suicide and this trauma played a major role in her split with Jelle. After the end of the relationship, he ends up in a paralyzing depression. Sofie finds him in this condition while preparing the next film assignment. Together they leave for the island of Lesbos to meet the therapist Bob Vansant. On the spot they are irrevocably confronted with their problems. The duo decides to turn the camera on themselves and their project takes an unexpected turn.
