Hosszú Utazás plot
The forced border, which the Soviets laid one day at the end of the Second World War right through the village of Szelmenc with eleven hundred inhabitants, divides more than one village into two states in the twenty-first century. On the one hand, the families now live in Slovakia, which has since joined the European Union. On the other hand, the other family members are suffering from the precarious conditions in Ukraine. A solution would be to at least build a border crossing (the closest is fifty kilometers away), reunite families after sixty years and generate some economic construction.
