Hier Ligt Mijn Hond Begraven plot
Israeli director Nir Kienan processed his experiences as a student, an enthusiastic kibbutz worker, an obligated soldier and later a refusal to serve in the occupied territories into a personal documentary, which he himself reveals with a slightly mocking undertone. Born in 1968, about nine months after the end of the Six-Day War, Kienan belongs to a generation that grew up with the ideals of the State of Israel. His life passes without a second thought until, as a young army officer, he shoots an armed Palestinian dead during a night patrol.
