Hidden in Plain Sight plot

The School of the Americas (SOA) was founded in Panama in 1946. Here, South American soldiers are trained according to the principles of the United States. Officially, the institute came to put an end to the dictatorships and coups and to prevent the countries from becoming communist. Proponents claim as an achievement that now, with the exception of Cuba, all countries are indeed democratic. In South America, however, they call the school "the school for dictators and murderers."
