Het Vlot plot

Pedro has a wife and two daughters. Once a year, Pedro takes his whole family and his friend Cosme down the Parnaiba River in a homemade raft to sell his pig and cassava flour in the town of Teresina, a thousand kilometers downstream. The raft itself is also dismantled here and sold in parts. Then they hitchhike back home.
