Het Onzegbare plot
In January 2005 the novel Kneeling on a bed of violins by Jan Siebelink was published. While the fear of (Muslim) fundamentalism rises and churches close, hundreds of thousands of copies of this black, apparently obscure novel are sold in a short time. Kneeling on a bed of violins is a huge success and in the same year Siebelink wins the AKO Literature Prize. Filmmaker Pieter Verhoeff follows Siebelink on his travels through local libraries and small village houses, visits places with him that play an important role in his novel and lets Siebelink speak about his deepest motives. About his Protestant background at the Velp nursery and his fall from the faith.
