Hawar, Our Banished Children plot

In 2014, thousands of Yazidi women are kidnapped by jihadists and forced into sexual slavery. Upon her release, Ana is forced to give up the baby she had as a result of the rapes she endured. All children born of the jihadist rapes are considered “bastards” by the Yazidi community. Four years later, “Ana” secretly crosses Kurdistan to visit her daughter Marya.
