Happily Ever After plot
In the midst of the chaos of the Arab Spring in Egypt, filmmaker Nada Riyadh falls in love with Ayman. The initial euphoria in their relationship gives way to doubt, anxiety and reproach, which runs parallel to the disappointment at the developments in Egypt. When social and political conditions deteriorate, Ayman decides to leave the country, choosing to stay. Nada doesn't spare herself and her boyfriend - who has moved abroad - when she films their Skype conversations and his visits to Egypt. She analyzes her relationship with him and her beloved Egypt to the bone, with the camera constantly pointed at herself or Ayman, even when he clearly doesn't feel like it.
