Goddesses plot

"A short subject about three extraordinary women in Tamil Nadu."

This documentary follows three women in Tamil Nadu in their daily quest for equality. Lakshmi is a professional singer and dancer at funerals. Krishnaveni earns her living by burying and cremating corpses from the rivers and streets. Sethuraku never went to school and chose the sea at a young age. As the women reveal their stories, the film explores economic, caste and gender oppression.
