Documentary about the leader of the Fluxus movement, George Maciunas. The Lithuanian-born designer and artist saw official museum and gallery art as a dead artefact and argued for cheerful events, actions and interventions that turned everyday life into art and vice versa. In everything he did, Maciunas proved to be an uncompromising visionary who, with a great sense of humor, wanted to make creativity the compass of human existence. The propagandist of the DIY idea was one of the founders of artist collectives in New York's SoHo. He also attempted to establish a utopian society on a deserted island in the Caribbean.
