Afghanistan suffers from a major drug problem. Ten percent of the population has a drug addiction as a result of war, poverty and unemployment. In the country you can get drugs easily and cheaply. The cause is a new discovery: the Afghans have recently learned how to produce crystal meth on a large scale from an ancient plant.
