Full Circle plot

Barry Corbet – an intrepid skier, mountain climber, explorer and filmmaker – broke his back in a helicopter accident in 1968. Trevor Kennison's life changed forever in 2014 when he broke his back while snowboarding. In a wheelchair, with an uncertain future, he no longer had any goals or direction. This documentary follows Trevor on his path to post-traumatic growth, parallel to Barry, fifty years later. Their stories mirror each other, connected across time and space by common locations and motifs. They refuse to let their injuries limit their zest for life.

Beautiful documentary with two reflective stories. Barry Corbet – an intrepid skier, mountain climber, explorer and filmmaker – broke his back in a helicopter accident in 1968. Trevor Kennison's life changed forever in 2014 when he broke his back while snowboarding. The documentary follows Trevor on his path to post-traumatic growth, parallel to Barry, fifty years later. Although apparently tragic in subject, the documentary is mainly positive in tone and approach, with many spectacular images. The interview fragments sometimes go a bit too far in terms of message, at a certain point we know it, but it is beautiful and inspiring to see how the two main characters refuse to let their disability limit their zest for life.

In 2014, alpine skier Trevor Kennison sustained a spinal injury following a fall on the infamous Vail Pass in the Rocky Mountains. Inspired by the book 'Options' by Barry Corbet, a mountaineer who also spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair due to an accident, Trevor learned sit-skiing. This documentary follows him as he prepares for a life-threatening stunt that no human has yet managed to accomplish. And that is the stunt that left him paralyzed in 2014. The passages from 'Options' are inspiring, and the footage of the alpine skiing is impressive. Kennison's story is less compelling.
