Flikker plot

Flikker is a documentary composed entirely of mainly 8mm films by the Rotterdam amateur filmmaker Rob de Vries. In addition to a biography of Rob de Vries and a tour of his work, the film offers a rare glimpse into the lives of (radical) gay activists in the 1970s/80s. Massive demonstrations, many stage performances, militant songs, colorful transvestism. He gets to know well-known figures from the gay movement, such as Fabiola and former Rotterdam alderman Herman Meijer (Hermien Katendrecht).
