Pepe The Frog was born as a funny green guy. In the online comic 'Boy's Club', Matt Furie featured him as one of the four main characters alongside three other equally wacky characters. But Pepe soon became a symbol of the far-right movement, which managed to hijack the figure and use it to spread its own ideologies. Online Pepe took on a life of his own.
