Fan plot
In her tenth year of life, the filmmaker became addicted to the Australian television series The Flying Doctors, in particular Dr Chris Randall, played by actress Liz Burch. Her old room in Hengelo was full of pictures and posters of her idol, she wrote her letters regularly and had devised a savings plan to travel to Australia. When her idol was written off the series, she was inconsolable. That's why she came up with an episode in which Randall returned again. Fifteen years later, Eijsink flies to Australia to ask Liz Burch to make a film with her. The journey evokes many memories and emotions. Like how she once discovered her lesbian feelings with her fantasies about Dr. Randall. With the search for Burch and her past as a fan, she concludes a period full of doubts. Eijsink alternates images of her journey with scenes from the series and old films and photos from her own archive. And she even literally tries to play scenes with her heroine via chromakey (green screen) like 'flying doctor'.
