Falling plot

Of course, you grow up to be a melancholy, taciturn lumberjack if you were born and raised at Lillooet Lake, British Columbia, Canada. Yet the beautiful 'Twin Peaks' area explored in “Falling” is less peaceful and tranquil than it looks. The future of forests is a hot topic of debate among stakeholders: loggers, Native Americans, environmentalists and the tourism industry. The main character in "Falling" is Steve Phare, a woodcutter whose split inner self is a mirror of the civil war scene. Phare loves the woods, but makes a living by clearing them. He looks down on the natives, but is partly of Native American descent himself, and as he grows older he is also looking for his Native American roots...
