Extinção plot

The question of the boundaries of the territories of what was once the Soviet Union has turned out to be a potential time bomb. 'Extinction' is a contemplation about the non-fixed national identity based on an unstable flow of conflict. Kolya is a boy from Moldova with an outspoken loyalty to Transnistria - a country that is still unrecognized by the international community, that does not officially exist and that is still rooted in communist ideology. Salomé Lamas black-and-white film follows Kolya in the zone between the borders and the monuments of the past - and between reality and dream.
