Expedition zum Südpol - Schmilzt das Ewige Eis? plot

In November 2023, a specialized research team departs aboard the legendary icebreaker Polarstern for Antarctica to investigate whether the ice there is melting. In one of the stormiest seas in the world, the hundred-strong crew braves extreme conditions to collect vital ice and rock samples via land camps, helicopters, and deep-sea equipment.
