El Último País plot

Once, Palacio decided to leave Cuba to study in Paris. One day she returns, full of questions about the past and especially the future of the Island, as she calls Cuba herself. What will happen to the Island, has anything really changed, what lies ahead? What is left of the patriotism she was once taught? Palacio asks these questions to friends, to family, but above all to himself. And so she comes to realize that change is inevitable, but at the same time that she fears it; what if all the utopian ideals of the system were lost in all those changes?
