El Oued, el Oued plot

The river Oued El Kebir in Algeria rises in Blida-Atlas at 1525 meters altitude and ends as the river Mazafran sixty kilometers further in the Mediterranean, near Algiers. While traveling on foot along the river, the filmmakers encounter micro-communities of people who live along the river and paint a different picture of Algeria. For example, they meet a man who is concerned about the Nestlé factory, which he believes only harms the village.
