El Mundo de Carolina plot

Much to her mother's dismay, Caro, the title heroine of Carolina's World, has a giggle at the beginning of the film. It's because of the silence, Caro explains, the silences that sometimes fall in a conversation when she has to come up with an answer to a question. Caro is twenty and has Down syndrome. Five years ago she met documentary maker Mariana Viñoles. Now they are making a movie together, at Caro's mother's kitchen table.
