El Lado Quieto plot

An abandoned holiday resort, somewhere off the coast of Mexico. Between the concrete remains of a hotel and an amusement park, nature is steadily gaining ground. Promotional texts are heard from invisible speakers, which are intended to lure visitors to spectacular attractions. But there is no one to be seen. The ocean crashes into the shore and the wind has free rein. While the camera cautiously explores this abandoned civilization, the voice-over includes the voices of a young woman and man. In groping conversations, they deal with various topics, from the existence of a mysterious sea monster to unfulfilled promises of freedom and progress.
